The town of 's-Hertogenbosch celebrated 500 years of art by one it's famous inhabitants, Heironymous Bosch. This medieval Dutch painter created some creepy works. His most famous piece being The Garden of Earthly Delights which seemed to offer scary outcomes to not following the rules of the bible and giving into temptation. It's amazing to me that someone from hundreds of years ago derived fantastic, dreamlike imagery that seemed as if it could have easily slid into the surrealist movement. Could Salvador Dali be an incarnate?
